Aquila Private Game Reserve Safari

For an Aquila Game Reserve Day Trip, you need to drive 2-hours from Cape Town. Along the way, you will get to witness the ever-changing scenery of Paarl, Du Toitskloof Pass, Worcester, and De Doorns. On this Aquila Game Reserve Wildlife Safari, you will encounter the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) along with cheetah, giraffe, hippo, zebra, and many more.

On your Aquila Game Reserve Day Trip, you will be accompanied by an experienced guide who will share exciting inside stories & facts about your surroundings: easily rousing the wild side in you.

The Aquila Private Game Reserve Day Trip Safari includes a continental breakfast or lunch and cool-off dips at one of the two breathtaking swimming pools. All safaris are done in an open 4 x 4 safari vehicle.

A Quad Bike Safari Day tour involves roughing it within the 10,000-hectare conservancy of Aquila Private Game Reserve at additional costs (to be pre-booked).

TRIP SCHEDULE

Aquila Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Conservation Centre was established as a sanctuary for animals that can never be released into the wild again and a temporary home for those who need attention before being released into the wild. It includes various initiatives and projects, amongst these are our Orphan Rhino Calf, Saving Private Rhino Foundation, Rescue and Rehabilitation Initiatives, Black Eagle Project, and Eco Synergy Systems. Please note the animals that are currently housed at ARC are not open to public viewing. Due to possible release and rehabilitation human interaction is kept to an absolute minimum.

On arrival, you will either have breakfast or lunch, depending on the time of arrival from your hotel. For an early morning Aquila Big 5 Safari you depart from the hotel at 06h00 and arrive at Aquila at 08h00 (subject to change). The afternoon Game drive departs from the hotel at 10h00 and arrives at Aquila at 12h00.

9:00 AM – Pick Up:

9:00 AM – 11:00 AM – Scenic Drive:

Embark on a picturesque 2-hour drive to the Aquila Game Reserve. Enjoy the changing landscapes as we make our way to this wildlife haven.

11:00 AM – Arrival and Exploration:

Arrive at the Aquila Game Reserve around 11:00 AM. Before lunch and the game drive, you’ll have some free time to explore the reserve. Take in the breathtaking surroundings and perhaps spot some wildlife on your own.

12:00 PM – 1:30 PM – Buffet Lunch:

Indulge in a delectable buffet lunch served at the reserve’s restaurant. The meal is included in the tour price, offering a variety of options to satisfy your taste buds.

1:30 PM – 3:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive:

After a satisfying lunch, gear up for an exciting game drive led by experienced guides, this adventure provides a close encounter with Africa’s most majestic animals. Capture stunning photos and immerse yourself in the wonders of the wild.

4:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Return Journey: Bid farewell to the Aquila Game Reserve and begin your journey back to Cape Town at

4:00 PM. Relax and reflect on the day’s experiences during the 2-hour drive.

6:00 PM – Return to Cape Town:

Arrive back in Cape Town around 6:00 PM, concluding your day filled with wildlife encounters and scenic landscapes. Our guide will ensure you are dropped off back at your hotel, marking the end of your memorable day at the Aquila Game Reserve
